The New Yorker's January 2024 cover: "Deadline"

Every New Yorker cover makes me pause, think and sometimes smile and the upcoming January 2024 cover is no different.

The cover is by Bianca Bagnarelli and is titled "Deadline." It reminds me of times when I have worked and missed out on fun but I also can't help but pay attention to the "girl pad" apartment work-from-home setup that is carefully illustrated.

The setup reminds me of a little my 1 bedroom past apartment in Bethesda, Maryland from 2019-2020 where I would work remotely from home and miss out on fun including the building's hallway makeshift Halloween party on floor 7. #goodmemories #noiseproofwalls
